Hello! My name is Alicia Padgett. I am excited to be a part of Scott School’s Staff and the 3rd grade team this year! I was born and raised in Evansville. I attended Stockwell, Plaza Park, and graduated from Harrison High School. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Evansville, and earned my Master’s degree from Indiana Wesleyan University. This will be my 24th year of teaching in the EVSC. I began my teaching career at Culver, where I taught both 2nd and 3rd grades. Next, I taught 1st grade at Daniel Wertz. Before joining the faculty at Scott, I taught 2nd grade at Hebron.
My husband, Brian and I have 2 children. Our son, Blake will be a 9th grader at North High School and our daughter, Ava will be a Kindergartener at Scott. Some activities I enjoy are watching my son perform in the North Green Brigade, reading mysteries, going for walks, and spending time with my family. My first and most important goal this year is to create a family of learners in our classroom where students feel valued, respected, included, and loved. Thank you for entrusting me to share my love and excitement for learning at Scott School! |
